In order for the program to be a success and raise food allergy awareness in a high school, principal and teacher support is important. Because this is a student-run program with materials provided by Food Allergy Canada, your assistance in providing them with support as well as the following resources will greatly help them succeed in planning and running the Allergy Awareness Challenge.
Participating schools will need to:
Allow one teacher supervisor to assist and guide the student coordinators Grant program coordinators access to a photo copier to help with distributing educational resources Allow the use of a suitable room to host challenges Get students' council involved to assist in the planning and implementation Allow students to hang posters/promotional materials Give students access to assembly/announcement services for promotion Provide equipment (laptop, screen, microphone) for PowerPoint-based games |
